Plenty of 3D models look correct on screen and fail on the bench. Walls too thin to cast, stones that do not seat, prongs that will not hold, shanks that distort under polishing - these are manufacturing problems, not modelling problems, and they only show up once metal is involved.
We build for production. Wall thickness is checked against your casting process, stone seats are cut to the actual stone dimensions you supply, and prong geometry is set to hold rather than merely to look right in a render.
The same model then drives your marketing images, so the CAD file and the catalog photograph are guaranteed to agree.

Jewelry CAD FAQ
What do you need to start a CAD project?
A sketch, drawing or clear photographs, plus the key dimensions - ring size, overall measurements, and the stone sizes you intend to set. If you are unsure about any dimension, tell us the intent and we will propose something and confirm before building.
Can you work to my casting house's requirements?
Yes. Send us their specification for minimum wall thickness, sprue placement and mesh resolution and we will build to it. If you do not have one, we use conservative values that cast reliably in gold, silver and platinum.
Do I own the CAD file?
Yes. On final payment the model is yours outright, including the editable 3DM master. We do not retain rights to your designs, resell models or reuse them for other clients.
Can you resize an existing design?
Yes, and it should be done properly rather than by uniform scaling. Scaling a whole ring up distorts the setting and changes stone seats. We adjust the shank while holding the head and stone dimensions correct, which is what a full size run needs.
How long does a CAD model take?
Two to four business days for a straightforward ring or pendant. Complex pieces with detailed pavé, multiple components or articulated elements take longer, and we confirm the timeline at quote before starting.
